An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years ECT Teacher to join a highly regarded specialist school in Enfield from September 2026.

This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher looking to begin their teaching journey within a supportive and nurturing SEN environment. The successful candidate will teach a small class of pupils with additional needs, delivering engaging and personalised learning experiences that support communication, independence, and social development.

You will be fully supported by an experienced leadership team, specialist SEN staff, therapists, and dedicated Teaching Assistants, making this an excellent environment to develop your teaching practice and complete your ECT induction.

The Role

  • Teach a small class of pupils within a specialist SEN setting.
  • Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes confidence, communication, and independence.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and experienced SEN professionals.
  • Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication needs, sensory differences, and associated learning needs.
  • Monitor progress and adapt learning to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.


About You

  • Hold or be on track to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching career in September 2026.
  • Have a passion for Early Years education and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Be patient, caring, and committed to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced SEN professionals.
