Start Time: 09:00 - End Time: 17:00
PAYE Rate: £468.60 per day
 
Role Overview
  • Provide professional educational psychology support within the local authority setting
  • Contribute to assessment, intervention, and consultation services for children and young people
  • Support schools, settings, and partner agencies with psychological advice and guidance
  • Assist in promoting positive outcomes for children and young people with additional needs
  • Work as part of a wider multidisciplinary education and safeguarding service
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake psychological assessments of children and young people as required
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations and interventions to support learning and development
  • Contribute to statutory assessment processes, including EHCP-related work where applicable
  • Offer consultation and advice to schools, parents, and multi-agency professionals
  • Support casework relating to vulnerable children and those with additional needs
  • Produce clear, accurate, and timely professional reports
  • Contribute to planning and review meetings with education and care professionals
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Recognised qualification in Educational Psychology (HCPC registration required)
  • Experience working as an Educational Psychologist within local authority or educational settings
  • Strong understanding of child development, learning needs, and psychological assessment tools
  • Experience of working with schools, families, and multi-agency teams
  • Ability to deliver clear written and verbal reports to a high professional standard
  • Strong consultation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory frameworks
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
