Think Education Partners Limited
MAT Educational Welfare & Inclusion Officer
North Surrey: Staines upon Thames & Woking
Contract: Permanent | Term Time (39 weeks)
Salary: £28,353 - £32,896 actual (FTE £32,958 - £38,239)
Are you an experienced Attendance Officer, Education Welfare Officer (EWO), Inclusion Officer or Pastoral Lead ready to take the next step?
This is a rare opportunity to move into a strategic, cross school role where you’ll lead on attendance, inclusion and student engagement across a Multi Academy Trust, while still remaining hands on where it matters most. Each school already has an Attendance Officer in place; your role is to lead, support and enhance practice across both sites.
About the Trust
Unity Schools Trust is a collaborative and values driven Multi Academy Trust based in Surrey, built around a shared ethos of “Excellence through collaboration.”
The Trust works closely across its schools to share expertise, raise standards and deliver consistently strong outcomes for pupils. A key strength of the Trust is the way it balances collaboration with autonomy, allowing schools to retain their individual identity while benefiting from shared expertise and central support. Its approach is grounded in the belief that schools improve together, not in isolation, creating a strong culture of partnership across the Trust.
With a clear commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and wellbeing, Unity Schools Trust places strong emphasis on ensuring every student feels supported, can access education consistently and is able to thrive both academically and personally.
This role will work across both The Magna Carta School (Staines-upon-Thames) and Bishop David Brown School (Woking), offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a wider Trust community.
The Role: Attendance, Inclusion & Welfare

-Is ready to step into a broader, more strategic role across multiple schools
-Enjoys working with attendance data, persistent absence and intervention planning
-Is confident influencing staff and working with senior leaders
-Still wants to remain hands on with students and families where needed
Why Join Unity Schools Trust?
-Generous family friendly policies and Local Government Pension Scheme
-Strong focus on professional development and career progression
-A collaborative culture built on “Excellence through collaboration”
-Opportunities to coach, mentor and develop within the Trust
