💰 £30–£38 per hour Umbrella (DOE)

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Compliance Officer to support a busy local authority estates function in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team responsible for maintaining statutory compliance across a diverse property portfolio.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant, and operational by carrying out and coordinating a range of statutory inspections and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Undertaking scheduled compliance inspections across:
  • Legionella
  • Asbestos
  • Fire systems
  • Emergency lighting & egress
  • M&E plant and equipment
• Identifying non-compliance issues and raising remedial actions via CAFM systems
• Taking immediate action where life safety systems are compromised
• Supporting contractor management and ensuring works are completed to required standards
• Maintaining accurate compliance records and reports

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in estates, facilities management, or building compliance.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in multi-disciplinary compliance (electrical, fire, water, asbestos etc.)
• Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements within commercial or public sector buildings
• Experience using CAFM systems
• Strong understanding of M&E systems and building services
• Ability to identify risks and act decisively in safety-critical situations
