About the Role
You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team delivering electronic design solutions for a range of clients and applications. The work is hands-on and varied — one week you might be developing a new embedded system, the next diagnosing issues on an existing design or preparing a prototype for manufacture.
This is a role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, managing their time across multiple pieces of work, and engaging directly with colleagues, suppliers, and clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating electronic designs for a mix of applications, from sensing and control to user interfaces and power switching
- Developing firmware for embedded systems
- Investigating and resolving faults in hardware
- Producing PCB designs and taking them through to manufacture
- Assembling, testing, and refining prototypes
- Supporting the transition from design into low-volume production
- Working with external partners and component suppliers
- Documenting your work clearly for both internal use and client delivery
- Solid background in electronics design, covering both analogue and digital principles
- Experience working with embedded systems and microcontrollers
- Confidence writing embedded software (C/C++, Python, or similar)
- Practical experience designing and delivering PCBs
- A hands-on approach, with the ability to test, troubleshoot, and improve designs
- Comfortable balancing several projects at once
