Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights rotation)

Days: 05:30 – 17:30
Nights: 17:30 – 05:30

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on Electrical Engineer role within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment where engineering truly drives performance.

You’ll play a critical part in keeping production moving — responding to breakdowns, improving reliability, and ensuring equipment delivers against key operational targets. This isn’t a back-office role. You’ll be on the factory floor, working closely with operations, solving problems in real time, and making a measurable impact on output, efficiency and safety.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will:

• Respond quickly and safely to plant breakdowns and stoppages
• Carry out fault finding and repair across a range of production machinery
• Work on single and three-phase electrical systems
• Deliver both reactive and planned maintenance (PPM) activities
• Maintain and optimise equipment to maximise performance and uptime
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE and reliability
• Use SAP to accurately record engineering labour and parts usage
• Work collaboratively with engineering leadership and external specialists on complex faults
• Ensure all machinery operates to required product and quality specifications

What You’ll Be Measured On

• First-time fix rate on breakdowns
• Completion and accuracy of PPM tasks
• Contribution to equipment reliability and uptime
• Safety engagement and observations (BSO)

Health & Safety

Safety is central to everything on site. You will:

• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work
• Use Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) at all times where required
• Wear appropriate PPE and report hazards immediately
• Support a culture of safe working across the engineering and production teams
• Assist in training new starters and apprentices

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (UK recognised)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to work under pressure and respond decisively
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
