Our client is one of the UK’s leading M&E building services contractors and they are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team at their Northern office in Warrington. This is a permanent role within their engineering services division, working across a varied pipeline of projects at genuine scale.

About the Business

Our client operates nationally through three specialist divisions covering engineering services, living and special projects, with offices across the South West, South East, Midlands and North. Their engineering services division – within which this role sits – delivers across pharmaceutical and research environments, commercial buildings, healthcare, education and secure environments.

The Warrington office serves as the base for their Northern operations, with an active regional pipeline that reflects the business’s broader scale and sector reach. They hold an extensive range of industry accreditations and place a strong emphasis on sustainability and safety standards across all projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions across multiple project types

  • Carrying out take-offs and producing accurate cost plans from drawings and specifications

  • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations

  • Attending mid- and post-tender interviews and clarification meetings

  • Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options

  • Ensuring bids are produced accurately, on time and within tender programme requirements

  • Maintaining handover documentation for the project delivery team on secured contracts

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid experience in electrical estimating within a main M&E contractor environment

  • Confident interpreting electrical drawings, specifications and tender packs

  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong commercial awareness with a methodical approach to pricing

  • Experience across pharmaceutical, commercial or healthcare sectors would be advantageous

  • Well-organised and able to manage workload across multiple live tenders

  • Salary of £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience
