The Role
As an Electrical Installation Lecturer / Trainer Assessor, you will deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning across a range of Electrical Installation programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for successful careers within the industry.
Working within modern workshop facilities, you will inspire and motivate learners whilst maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Installation.
• Support learners across a range of vocational and technical qualifications.
• Deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom-based learning.
• Assess learner work and monitor progress against programme requirements.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to learners.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety within workshop environments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support positive learner outcomes, progression and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
• A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Strong industry knowledge and practical experience within the electrical sector.
• Experience teaching, training, assessing or mentoring learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for supporting learner development and achievement.
Desirable,
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS, AET or equivalent).
• TAQA Assessor Qualification, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or A1 Assessor Award.
• Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification.
• Previous Further Education, apprenticeship, trainer or assessor experience.
• Experience delivering City & Guilds, EAL or apprenticeship programmes.
