Temporary Assignment – 6 Weeks
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week
Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Machinery Fitter to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Norwich on a temporary six-week assignment.
This is a hands-on role involving the assembly, testing, and fault-finding of specialist machinery. The successful candidate will work across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, supporting machine builds and maintenance activities during a busy production period.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble machinery from electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Carry out wiring, soldering, crimping, loom assembly, and panel building
- Test, inspect, and service machinery to ensure operational performance
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
- Support machine installation and maintenance activities as required
- Work with PLC-controlled equipment and assist with fault finding
- Complete relevant documentation and reports accurately
About You
- Time-served apprentice or equivalent industry experience
- Proven experience in machine wiring, panel building, and electrical assembly
- Strong fault-finding skills to component level
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
