Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across a busy healthcare environment. This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same-ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and wants to make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across electrical systems and wider building services
  • Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and support small upgrade and improvement projects
  • Work across disciplines including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and general maintenance
  • Support and monitor contractors, ensuring work is compliant and completed to a high standard
  • Use systems such as helpdesk platforms and BMS to manage workflow and track issues
  • Play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient environment

About You

  • Qualified in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds Level 3 & 18th Edition essential)
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship
  • Strong experience in maintenance and fault finding
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience supervising contractors and working across multiple disciplines
  • Organised, proactive and committed to safety

Desirable Experience

  • Commercial or healthcare environments
  • BMS/BEMS systems
  • On-call rota participation

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 1-in-3 on-call rota
  • Act as part of the fire response team
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold health & safety compliance
  • Support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives
