Salary: Up to £42,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday + 1 in 4 on-call rota
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
The OpportunityWe’re looking for a skilled Electrician to join a high-performing team supporting critical infrastructure across two secure RAF sites. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for keeping essential electrical systems running safely and efficiently across commercial and residential facilities.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational performance, working both independently and as part of a wider team, with opportunities to develop your skills in a structured and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of electrical systems
- Respond to reactive repairs and fault finding
- Complete electrical compliance testing in line with JSP375 standards
- Undertake minor installation works within commercial and residential buildings
- Use digital tools/tablets to log work, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota
- Travel between RAF Croughton and Barford St Johns as required
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance at all times
- Liaise effectively with site personnel and internal teams
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance and repairs
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
- A full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience as an Authorised Person (AP) or Authorising Engineer (AE)
- Knowledge of JSP375 and MOD environments
- PASMA and/or IPAF certification
- Experience with fixed wire inspections
