  • Design electronic and power circuits, including for 400V 3‑phase systems.
  • Ensure designs meet high-volume manufacturing requirements and cost targets.
  • Carry out product integration, validation, and simulation testing.
  • Support product introduction into manufacturing.
  • Assist with regulatory approvals (e.g., UL certification).
  • Drive product support and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Track emerging technologies and engineering techniques.
  • Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to implement design changes without disrupting production.
  • Manage and report progress against project timelines.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Power electronics design (ideally AC drives / industrial systems).
    • Analogue and digital circuit design.
    • Design validation, prototyping, and compliance with international standards.
    • EMC design and testing.
  • Experience designing for high-volume manufacture and cost optimisation.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for schematic and PCB layout design
    (Zuken CR8000 experience desirable).
  • Familiarity with simulation tools, power loss analysis, and timing/lifecycle analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.

Key Competencies

  • Product-focused mindset balancing quality, performance, and cost.
  • Curious and innovative approach to engineering challenges.
  • Strong collaborator and communicator.
  • Comfortable working within global, cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Professional proficiency in German and/or Chinese.

Working Environment

  • Hybrid working model with 2-3 days onsite in Congleton (flexible depending on project phase).
  • Access to modern labs and engineering facilities.
  • Opportunity to work closely with international teams, including Germany and China (early morning calls may be required).

Why Apply?

  • Work on cutting-edge industrial electronics products.
  • Join a globally recognised engineering organisation.
  • Contribute to meaningful R&D projects with real-world impact.
  • Competitive contract rate and long-term assignment.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply now to be part of a high-performing R&D team shaping the future of motion control technology.
