Requirements for Application
  • Educational Background: Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 5+ years in professional embedded software engineering.
  • Core Technical Stack: C/C++ and experience with STM32 microcontroller platforms.
  • RTOS & Bare Metal: Strong proficiency in FreeRTOS and bare-metal development for 8-bit and 32-bit systems.
  • DSP Knowledge: Practical experience implementing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for sensor data analysis.
  • Hardware Interaction: Ability to read schematics and use standard laboratory tools (debuggers, multimeters, logic analysers).
  • Professionalism: Disciplined approach to version control, design documentation, and NPD processes.
Beneficial for Application
  • Domain Expertise: Prior experience within sensor or instrumentation development would be useful
  • Safety Standards: Familiarity with stringent safety standards such as Medical, Automative.  Or global intrinsic safety standards such as ATEX design, UL, CE etc.
  • Communications Protocols: Experience with BLE, LoRaWAN, Modbus, CAN, USB.
  • Scientific Interest: An understanding of physical sciences (Chemistry or Physics) isn’t necessary, but an interest in it would aid in your understanding of how the product is implemented and how data will be interpreted
