Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor — Position Overview:

This is a full-time role reporting to the Employment Team Partner. The Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor will work on a broad and varied caseload alongside experienced solicitors, developing their expertise across the full range of employment law with increasing autonomy.

Key Responsibilities of the Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor:

  • Providing advisory support to clients across both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Supporting employment tribunal matters from initial instruction through to resolution, including drafting key documents, preparing cases and progressing matters through each stage.
  • Preparing draft witness statements and other key legal documents under appropriate supervision, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining accurate file records, supporting billing processes and contributing to the efficient management of client matters.
  • Undertaking legal research and providing practical, commercially focused support.
  • Managing your own caseload with increasing autonomy as your expertise deepens.
  • Contributing to the ongoing growth of the Employment team, including supporting networking and business development activities.
Requirements of the Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor:

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor seeking to build a career in employment law.
  • An interest in developing across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Strong legal research, drafting and document preparation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling client matters.
  • Strong client communication and relationship management abilities.
