IMH Recruitment are currently seeking a Town Centre PSPO Enforcement Officer for our client based in Bolton, BL3.

About the Role:

You will play a key role in reducing anti-social behaviour, improving the local environment, and enforcing Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) and environmental regulations across Bolton, including the town centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol designated areas and provide a visible enforcement presence.
  • Detect, deter, and address anti-social behaviour.
  • Enforce PSPOs, littering offences, and environmental regulations.
  • Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and prepare enforcement notices.
  • Gather evidence and investigate incidents to support legal action and prosecutions.
  • Maintain accurate records using PACE notebooks and other systems.
  • Attend court as a witness when required.
  • Engage with members of the public, offering guidance, support, and warnings where appropriate.
  • Work closely with partner agencies, stakeholders, and council services.
  • Promote community responsibility and environmental improvement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Understanding of anti-social behaviour legislation and enforcement practices.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting local communities and town centres.
  • Experience working with the public and handling challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and authoritative when necessary.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Basic DBS is required for this role.

Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday however, some early evenings and occasional weekends required
  • £16.43 per hour
  • Initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend to 12 months and beyond
  • Weekly pay via agency!
