Our client, a reputable automotive business in Weybridge, is seeking an experienced Engine Builder to join their high-performance engineering team.

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled motor engineer with a passion for high-performance engines to develop their career within a dynamic environment. The Engine Builder will work on bespoke projects involving luxury and sports cars, including V12 and V8 engine builds, supporting the company’s commitment to engineering excellence.

Duties:
  • Support the assembly and diagnosis of high-performance engines
  • Prepare, clean, and inspect engine components to meet precise standards
  • Use precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure correct fitting of engine parts
  • Follow detailed build instructions and technical documentation accurately as an Engine Builder
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
  • Document all work completed as part of the Engine Builder’s responsibilities for quality assurance
  • Assist with troubleshooting and fine-tuning engines during assembly
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols
Requirements:
  • Practical workshop experience, ideally as a vehicle technician or Engine Builder
  • Genuine passion for high-performance automotive engineering and mechanics
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in engine assembly
  • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and safety procedures
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions consistently
  • Reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Local to Weybridge and committed to a long-term career
  • Experience with high-performance engine modifications is advantageous
