Engineer – Slough Borough Council – SL1 2EJ

2 years contract  

37 Hours per week

HYBRID – 3 DAYS A WEEK  

£317 per day Umbrella

I am currently representing Slough Borough Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 2 years  with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of which is negotiable dependent upon experience
 
We are looking for a Engineer - Generic based at: Observatory House, Berkshire, SL1 2EJ

Key Accountabilities:

• Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Keylines, Keysigns, and Vehicle Tracking.
• Produce design documentation for highway and transport projects, including concept, preliminary, and detailed designs (drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications).
• Experience in designing public transport schemes, as well as cycling, walking, and road safety projects (both minor and major schemes).
• Experience in budget monitoring and financial control.
• Strong knowledge of UK highway design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, and LTN 1/20 (Active Travel Guidance).
