Crucial need has arisen for a Engineering & Technical Manager to work alongside the Project Director on this £150 Million award in Jamaica.

The Role 
Working alongside the Project Director acting as the primary interface between the contractor, client, designers, specialist subcontractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities to ensure efficient design development and technical delivery.

Ensuring designs are developed, reviewed, approved and implemented in accordance with contractual requirements, applicable standards, program constraints, budget targets, safety requirements and quality objectives.

Looking at activities and ensuring the business are being proactive in all aspects to ensure the critical path is hit. Managing the designer, temporary works , design interfaces and all round coordination.

Responsibilities
Design Management
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams including
Bridge structures
Highways and pavements
Geotechnical engineering
Hydrology and drainage
Temporary works
Utilities diversions
Environmental and sustainability disciplines

As part of the SLT you will give support and guidance across Commercial, Quality Assurance, Support, Risk Management, Health, Safety & Environment.

Technical Knowledge needed

• Long-span bridge design
• Reinforced and prestressed concrete structures
• Steel bridge structures
• Deep foundations and piling
• Geotechnical engineering
• Hydraulic and flood risk design
• Temporary works
• Construction methodologies
• Design assurance and verification processes
• BIM and digital engineering
• International bridge design codes (AASHTO, Eurocodes, BS standards)

What our client is seeking 

• Degree Educated - Civil Engineering
• Chartered Status 
• Hold a Permanent Employment Background having worked for Civil Engineering Main Contractors on Civil & Infrastructure projects
• Clear Engineering Lead on £85 Million + schemes 

Process 

• You will Share a Word Formatted CV with clear employment dates, positions and project information such as forms of contracts, clients, scopes and values.
• Looking to relocate before the 1st of October 2026
• Researched the degree attestation process for Jamaica and Tax
• Able to provide references when called upon that NSR Associates can speak to
