Engineering Technician

Our client is looking for an experience Engineering Technician to help fill a gap whilst workload is high for a period of 6 months. ASAP start 

Overview description:

• Our techs can be described as capable fitters.
• Mechanically biased but awareness of Hydraulic, electrical, control systems (data acquisition set up). The work in the period will predominantly be assembly of test rigs and performing of test validation sequences to a procedures, working as a pair with a test engineer.
• 5 days per week on site in Hexham, 8.00 – 4.00 (potential early finish Friday at 2.00. 37.5 hrs per week ideally.
• It would be beneficial but not essential to have Forklift and overhead crane (and slinging) tickets, trades such as welding etc not needed.
• We are looking ideally for an established tech rather than a junior, with the region of 8 + years’ experience.
• Looking for ability to self-manage tasks, be proactive, diligent and detail focused.
• We would do a DBS.
