English Teacher

Complete Classroom Services (CCS) are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established coeducational secondary school to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an Ofsted-rated “Good” 11–16 secondary school with a supportive leadership team, strong behaviour policies, and a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preparing students for GCSE examinations in English Language and Literature, and supporting pupils to achieve their full academic potential.

The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering excellent support and development opportunities.

The Role:

• Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
• Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature
• Monitoring and assessing student progress
• Developing students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes
• Working collaboratively with the wider department and school staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be passionate about literature, language, and improving student outcomes
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
