Reeson Education are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic English Teacher to work in a supportive and inclusive school environment in Rotherham (S64). This role is ideal for a resilient and creative teacher who can deliver high-quality English lessons while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment.
About the English Teacher Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing students' literacy skills, communication abilities, and confidence in English Language and Literature.
Key Responsibilities as English Teacher:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Literacy Development: Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
- Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods where necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to support student achievement and development.
To succeed as an English Teacher, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
