Environmental Health Officer

Environmental Health Officer – Food Hygiene – Sunderland  

£80+ per inspection (negotiable depending on experience)

3 months initial contract – likely to be extended

Job Responsibilities:

1. To support the Council’s Commercial Team (Food and Health and Safety) in the delivery of their objectives regarding the regulation of food hygiene, food standards and health and safety offences.
2. 4. To ensure the Council’s statutory duties are discharged in relation the inspection of high-risk food premises with minimal supervision, and to ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

You must have:

• To have worked in food hygiene enforcement and to have recent knowledge and experience of Food Safety, Food Standards and Health and Safety enforcement. Particularly the new FSDM inspection requirements
• Experience of working directly within a local authority
