The Role
As an Environmental Support Advisor, you will manage environmental aspects across various project sites in Scotland, primarily in the Highlands. Your responsibilities include helping discharge planning consents, integrating environmental issues into project documentation, managing waste and noise monitoring programmes, and supporting environmental audits. You will work closely with project teams, external specialists, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and drive sustainable practices. Daily actions may involve site inspections, toolbox talks, report generation, and incident management.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Proven experience supporting multiple construction projects in an environmental advisory or coordination role.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation, permit applications, and statutory processes.
- Expert understanding of waste management, environmental audits, and monitoring systems such as noise and emissions.
- Working or hold IEMA membership (or similar), ideally with a degree-level qualification.
- Flexibility to support various sites and undertake out-of-hours work as required.
