The Opportunity

  • I'm currently partnering with a well-established main contractor in Lincolnshire who is looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the addition of an experienced Estimator.
  • With a healthy pipeline of secured and upcoming projects, this role offers long-term stability alongside the opportunity to play a key part in shaping future business wins. The company delivers a variety of projects typically valued between £500k and £5m, across multiple sectors via competitive tenders, frameworks, and their own developments.
  • You'll be joining a collaborative and experienced team, where your input will genuinely be valued and you'll have the autonomy to influence how projects are approached and priced.


The Role

  • As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, supporting the business in securing new work.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates from first principles for a range of construction projects
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Producing bills of quantities and pricing schedules
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
  • Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
  • Supporting bid submissions and contributing to tender strategy
  • Working closely with the commercial and operational teams throughout the pre-construction phase
  • Maintaining and developing strong supply chain relationships



What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
  • Experience pricing projects within the £500k - £5m range (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders
  • Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Full UK driving licence
