A well-established and rapidly growing contractor specialising in mission-critical environments, is seeking an experienced an Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in high-profile data centre and fit-out projects across Ireland and internationally.
The role can be based around Kilkenny, Cork, or Dublin and offers strong long-term career prospects within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Reporting into the pre-construction team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and ensuring a smooth transition from pre-construction through to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender & pre-construction
- Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission
- Attend and contribute to pre- and post-tender meetings
- Support project handover to delivery teams upon award
- Work to tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet client requirements
Estimating & Costing
- Prepare detailed CSA / MEP cost estimates for data centre and fit-out projects
- Complete accurate take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Review project documentation to ensure full scope coverage
Supply Chain Engagement
- Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure all tenders remain competitive and commercially viable
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a construction estimating role
- Strong background in data centre fit-out projects
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
