Job Summary

The client is seeking a motivated and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their Service & Maintenance Department. You will work as part of an established estimating team and will be responsible for producing quotations, converting approved quotes into live jobs, placing orders, and managing works up to £100k across commercial sites throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and issue quotations for HVAC remedial works and small projects up to £100k.
• Process client instructions and convert approved quotations into active jobs.
• Place orders with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontractors/specialists on larger works and liaise with clients and site teams.
• Prepare and issue Risk & Method Statements for larger projects.
• Communicate daily with engineers, clients, and internal coordinators to ensure smooth workflow.

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience estimating HVAC repairs and small mechanical projects.
• Background in pricing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, gas, and plumbing works.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong understanding of current industry standards, regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and asbestos awareness.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple workloads.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with engineers, clients, and suppliers.
