Skills & Experience:
- Apprentice-trained engineer or similar engineering discipline
- Strong background in mechanical engineering
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical information
- Positive, can-do attitude with a flexible approach and strong work ethic
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques would be advantageous
- Previous experience as an Account Manager within an engineering company would be beneficial
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate methods and cost estimates from engineering drawings or digitally provided data, ensuring all relevant information is captured and clearly documented within agreed timeframes
- Project manage new business opportunities, including generating project plans and supporting documentation
- Complete and conduct quick-load activities for new orders, ensuring all specifications and material requirements are captured prior to production
- Negotiate raw material pricing and purchasing requirements, liaising with suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for subcontract and outwork processes
- Monitor contract profitability and review pricing with production and supply chain teams where appropriate, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- Proactively contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, delivery, and cost reduction

- Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
