Hours:      37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8.30am - 4pm
Salary:      Up to £42,500 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:        September 2026

We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our vibrant, multi-professional team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, child‑centred education that supports the physical, emotional and academic development of our young learners.

What you will be doing

  • Plan, deliver and teach engaging lessons for individuals and small groups, following our curriculum framework.
  • Support the delivery of nurture‑based programmes that build confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, ensuring each child receives personalised support.
  • Create a stimulating, well‑organised and safe learning environment that inspires curiosity and independence.
  • Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans alongside the wider team.
  • Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and other professionals to ensure consistent, high‑quality provision.
  • Promote positive behaviour, helping children move from external regulation to developing their own self‑control.
  • Contribute to whole‑school development, safeguarding practice and effective communication with families and colleagues.

What you will bring

  • QTS/QTLS degree level or equivalent
  • Preferably EYFS or early primary education experience.
  • Brings creativity, patience and a nurturing approach to the classroom.
  • Can confidently manage challenging behaviour using positive, supportive strategies.
  • Works well as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and values strong communication.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Is organised, proactive and able to adapt to the needs of individual learners.

Oakfield House School is a specialist primary school for autistic pupils and those with additional learning, communication, or behavioural needs. Set in a beautiful 1880s country house with eight acres of parkland, we provide a nurturing and supportive environment. Small classes, sensory spaces, and immersive learning areas ensure personalised support for every pupil. Our experienced staff work with families to help pupils build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
