We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in Ferryhill from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate teacher who understands the importance of early childhood education and is committed to providing outstanding learning experiences for our youngest pupils.

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment where children can develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

The Role

As our EYFS Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • Create a warm, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support children's social, emotional and academic development.
  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and a nurturing approach.
  • Is passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential.
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
