EYFS Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate Early Years practitioner who thrives on helping young children grow, learn, and flourish?

We are excited to be working in partnership with a truly exceptional Nursery School in Nechells, Birmingham, rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted. Having successfully supported the school with staffing for over three years, we are now seeking a dedicated and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity based within the 2-year-old room, where you’ll play a key role in supporting children during one of the most important stages of their development. For the right candidate, there is genuine potential for this role to become permanent.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the learning and development of children in line with the EYFS framework
• Act as a Key Worker for a small group of children
• Build positive and meaningful relationships with children and families
• Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
• Work closely with colleagues and parents to support each child’s progress and wellbeing

We’d love to hear from candidates who have:

• At least 6 months’ experience within an EYFS setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic nature
• A proactive attitude and strong initiative
• A genuine passion for supporting early childhood development
