Pay Rate: £14.24 - £15.67 per hour
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis within a mainstream primary school starting in September 2026.
This rewarding role involves supporting a child with global learning delay as they transition from a nursery setting into mainstream education. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the child settle into school routines, access learning opportunities, and develop socially and emotionally within the classroom environment.
The position will begin on a part-time timetable to support a gradual transition into school, with the expectation of increasing to full-time hours once the child is fully settled.
The Role
As a 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated support throughout the school day
- Assist the child in accessing EYFS learning activities
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and outside professionals
- Build positive relationships with parents and school staff
- Support with personal care where required
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience supporting children within EYFS or SEN settings
- Experience working with children with additional needs or developmental delays
- A calm, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Confidence supporting personal care needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant childcare, TA, or SEN experience
