Fabricator Welder
Ishida Europe is a World leader in the design, manufacture and installation of complete weighing and packing line solutions. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fabricator Welder to join the Operations Team in Poole. 

Main purpose of the role
To Manufacture sheet metal and fabricated products in line with specification and engineering drawings to a high quality finish and within the standard build times defined to meet agreed deadlines for production (WIP) schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards of right fist time, build efficiency and service level are consistently achieved.
  • Provide fast resolution to any manufacturing issues identified and ensure good levels of communication with operations team
  • Assist with assembly work as required.
  • Manufacture of products on time and to correct specification and quality standards.
  • Provide position support to team members as required
  • To adhere to UK Health and Safety Regulations and safe working practices.
  • To adhere to Ishida’s quality standards, factory rules and HR polices
  • Ensure KPI targets for RFT, efficiency, cost and service are consistently achieved.
  • To make position contribution to continuous improvement activities.
  • To adhere to all deadlines and targets set by Fabrication team leader.
  • Establish good working relationship with the fabrication team and key members of all departments.
  • Reporting of health and safety issues / near misses or Fabrication team Leader.

What skills are we looking for?

The successful candidate must have completed an engineering apprenticeship or hold an equivalent qualification, together with considerable experience in assembly and engineering within a manufacturing environment. You will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings and possess a good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, cutting, and general engineering disciplines. A commitment to health and safety, maintaining excellent quality standards, and effective time management is essential. You will be self-motivated, demonstrate a positive attitude and possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work collaboratively as part of a team.

The ideal candidate must be well disciplined, driven to deliver high standards, and committed to continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. A counterbalance forklift licence would be advantageous, as would a proven ability to think logically and identify innovative solutions to engineering challenges. You will take pride in your work, consistently strive for excellence, and contribute positively to the success of the wider team and business.
