Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Facilities Assistant to work closely with the Assistant Facilities Manager, supporting all aspects of Facilities Management service provision.

This role sits within a team responsible for delivering clear outcomes for customers and stakeholders, with a strong focus on high‑quality, visible service delivery. The Facilities Assistant will play an important part in ensuring that the working environment is safe, compliant and well managed on a day‑to‑day basis.

The position is key to the delivery of a professional, customer‑focused facilities service. You will support service delivery, compliance activities and projects, ensuring required standards are met and communicated effectively to customers and stakeholders across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as front of house, welcoming visitors and supporting them appropriately
• Ensure security procedures are followed at all times
• Deliver support services including porterage and meeting room management
• Manage the Facilities Management mailbox and respond to enquiries
• Support inductions for new starters, including Health & Safety and environmental inductions
• Log, facilitate and oversee reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits
• Support compliance with environmental, HSEQ and related standards, including audits
• Provide general administrative support and assist with low to medium risk projects

Person Specification

• Experience working with customers and delivering soft services
• Confident user of a range of Microsoft packages
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with different levels of management
• Some experience completing compliance checks and reports (training can be provided)
• Positive attitude with a proactive, can‑do approach
• IOSH qualification desirable, though training can be provided
• Qualifications relating to soft services would be beneficial
