We're partnering with a highly respected property consultancy to recruit a Facilities Manager to take ownership of a diverse commercial property portfolio across Cornwall and the South West. No two days are the same. From managing contractor performance and overseeing maintenance programmes to ensuring statutory compliance and supporting asset management strategies, you'll play a key role in protecting and enhancing a substantial commercial portfolio.
The Role As Facilities Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering a first-class facilities management service across a varied portfolio of commercial properties including office, retail and industrial assets.
You'll work closely with surveyors, clients, contractors and tenants to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards, remain fully compliant and continue to deliver value for owners and occupiers alike.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance programmes
- Procuring and overseeing service contracts
- Managing contractor performance and compliance
- Ensuring full statutory and health & safety compliance across the portfolio
- Coordinating repairs, maintenance and improvement projects
- Conducting property inspections and producing reports
- Supporting wider asset management objectives
- Responding to emergency issues and overseeing resolutions
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and occupiers
We're keen to speak with experienced Facilities Managers who can confidently hit the ground running and work with minimal supervision.
You'll have:
- Previous Facilities Management experience within commercial property
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety legislation
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance programmes
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects
- IOSH qualification (highly desirable)
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
What's On Offer?
- Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
