Pay Rate: £20.29 per hour (Umbrella) / £15.56 per hour (PAYE)
About the Role
Plymouth City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join their Front Door Service. This is a vital role at the first point of contact for children and families, ensuring that those in need receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and triage incoming referrals, assessing levels of need and risk
- Coordinate appropriate support for vulnerable children and families
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver a joined-up approach
- Communicate directly with families, offering guidance and signposting to relevant early help services
- Identify safeguarding concerns and ensure risks are responded to appropriately
- Complete requests for information from partner agencies in a timely and professional manner
- Experience working with children, young people, and families
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience working within a multi-agency setting is desirable
