Field Service Engineer - Installation Team
Salary: £39,000 Basic + Company Van + Paid Travel Time
OTE: Up to £50,000 (Overtime Paid After 50 Hours)
Location: UK & European Travel with Regular Overnight Stays
Ideal Base: Candidates with good commuting access to the Midlands
The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering business seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their specialist installation team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on mechanical engineer who enjoys working on-site, travelling, and being involved in large-scale engineering projects across the UK and Europe. The role offers excellent earning potential, full training, and long-term career development within a highly specialised sector.
Working as part of a mobile installation team, you will support the installation, commissioning, repair, and decommissioning of bespoke material handling systems at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
·Installation and commissioning of engineered material handling systems across the UK and Europe
·Working within a mobile engineering team on multi-day installation projects
·Carrying out mechanical installation, repair, and decommissioning activities on customer sites
·Supporting project delivery to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
·Liaising professionally with customers, end users, and system integrators on-site
·Travelling regularly throughout the UK and EU, including overnight stays (all accommodation and expenses covered)
Equipment & Systems You Will Work On
Projects may involve the installation and support of:
·Conveyors
·Cranes
·Automated storage systems
·Racking systems
·Material handling equipment and associated mechanical systems
Candidate Profile

Requirements
·Strong mechanical aptitude and practical engineering experience
·Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe
·Comfortable working away from home on customer sites
·Full UK Driving Licence
·Valid Passport for international travel
·Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
