Finance Analyst – Revenue & Cost Control

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Are you someone who enjoys digging into the detail, spotting discrepancies, and making sure the numbers genuinely add up?

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Analyst to join a growing finance team in a role that goes far beyond traditional finance processing. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership, and improving financial accuracy across recurring revenue and supplier costs.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the business is accurately invoicing clients, effectively managing supplier costs, and protecting profit margins by identifying issues before they become problems.

Duties to include:

  • Reconciling supplier invoices against services and usage
  • Ensuring client billing accurately reflects contracted and delivered services
  • Investigating discrepancies such as overbilling, underbilling, duplicate charges, or missing revenue
  • Reviewing recurring billing data ahead of invoice runs
  • Working closely with suppliers to resolve invoice issues and obtain credits where required
  • Identifying unused licences or services no longer required
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and clear audit trails
  • Supporting visibility around margins, profitability, and financial performance
  • Challenging inconsistencies and improving data accuracy across finance systems

Skills & Experience Required:

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Previous experience within finance operations, sales ledger, purchase ledger, or reconciliation-focused roles
  • Experience working in high-volume or recurring billing environments
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence working with large or complex data sets
  • The ability to investigate issues thoroughly and challenge where needed
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
  • You’ll enjoy working independently, solving problems, improving processes, and making a real impact on the financial performance of the business.

Benefits include

  • Salary up to £35,000 per annum
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Flexible start times between 8:00am and 9:30am, with corresponding finish times between 4:30pm and 6:00pm
  • One-hour lunch break
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • Pension and healthcare benefits
  • Flexible working available once settled into the role
