Paying up to £28k + Benefits – A successful manufacturing business based in Skelmersdale is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their expanding finance team.

This is a permanent office-based Finance Assistant vacancy working 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

THE JOB

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Overseeing the invoice approvals portal and answering queries where necessary
  • Processing of cash/banking transactions in Sage 200
  • Matching and reconciliation of intercompany accounts
  • Supporting the finance team with other accounting duties as and when required

THE PERSON

The ideal candidate:

  • Will be studying towards the AAT qualification
  • Able to organise own workload with limited supervision
  • Able to manage own time and balance multiple duties independently
  • Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have excellent Microsoft Office software knowledge
  • Able to offer flexibility whilst working to meet deadlines
  • Able to learn new systems quickly with on-the-job training
