The Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our team and act as a trusted advisor across the business.

You will play a key role in driving performance through insightful analysis, constructive challenge, and decision support, partnering closely with operational and commercial teams to improve profitability and support strategic objectives.

Business Partnering & Insight

  • Build a deep understanding of business performance drivers and influence key decisions
  • Provide clear analysis of historic, current, and forecast financial performance
  • Challenge assumptions and support better decision-making across sales, pricing, cost, and margin
  • Partner with teams to drive improvements in profitability, cash conversion, and operational efficiency

Performance & Reporting

  • Deliver monthly performance insight, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Own revenue, order intake, and margin reporting
  • Provide analysis on manufacturing performance (labour, materials, overheads, capacity)
  • Support management accounts, forecasting, and group reporting

Financial Planning & Control

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Develop business cases and evaluate investment opportunities
  • Strengthen financial controls and improve data quality
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of reporting processes

About You

You’re a commercially curious finance professional who enjoys working closely with the business to drive real impact.

Essential

  • Strong financial and business analysis experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Confident in challenging assumptions and shaping decisions
  • Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Strong Excel and presentation skills

Desirable

  • Experience in manufacturing or construction environments
  • Familiarity with systems such as Sage
