A strong opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join a busy, service‑led organisation in a key leadership role. This position leads a centralised finance team responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, robust financial controls and high‑quality reporting to a wide range of stakeholders.
This role would suit someone who enjoys improving processes, developing people and taking ownership of getting the numbers right.
The role:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of management accountants
- Own the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts
- Ensure strong balance sheet reconciliations and disciplined financial controls
- Support budgeting, forecasting and year‑end processes
- Review payroll postings, client money calculations and internal submissions
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, maintaining a clear “no surprises” approach
- Identify and drive improvements across processes, reporting and systems
- Work closely with senior finance colleagues to support wider business initiatives
- Qualified or nearly‑qualified accountant
- Strong background in management accounting
- Proven experience managing and developing a team
- Confident juggling a busy workload while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- A clear communicator who builds trusted relationships across the business
- Comfortable driving change, improving processes and strengthening team capability
You will be based in mid Essex. The business operates with favourable hybrid working.
