Finance Manager

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to lead a team of 5 Qualified Accountants and oversee the timely, accurate production of monthly management accounts across multiple profit centres. You’ll partner closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team to strengthen controls, improve reporting, and support ongoing change initiatives.


Key responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and allocate workload across a team of 5
  • Oversee monthly management accounts and reporting
  • Ensure balance sheets are fully reconciled with supporting schedules
  • Payroll to GL reconciliation
  • Support budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Assist with statutory accounts and audit
  • Oversee FCA returns (RMAR / Financial Resilience Return), SOX submissions and client money calculations
  • Drive process improvements and service to internal stakeholders
What we’re looking for
  • Strong management accounting background with excellent balance sheet control
  • People management experience
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, “no surprises” mindset
  • FCA/SOX exposure helpful but not essential

This role is based in md Essex and has hybrid working.
You must be a Qualified Accountant.
