 Finance Manager – Perth (On-site)

A well-established and growing organisation within a fast-paced operational sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function at one of its key sites in Perth.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of financial reporting, drive performance insights, and partner closely with operational teams to support decision-making. If you enjoy being embedded in the business rather than sat in a silo of spreadsheets, this one’s for you.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of site finance, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and developing a high-performing local team.

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy
  • Production and review of management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining robust balance sheet control and audit trails
  • Investigating and explaining variances with clear, actionable insights

Budgeting & Performance

  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes at site level
  • Preparing weekly and monthly forecasts aligned to operational drivers
  • Developing KPI reporting to support performance improvement
  • Supporting pricing reviews and margin analysis

Leadership & Team Management

  • Managing, mentoring and developing a small finance team
  • Creating a high-performance culture with clear accountability

Business Partnering

  • Working closely with operational, commercial and transport teams
  • Translating financial data into meaningful insights
  • Supporting cost control, productivity analysis and planning
  • Contributing to wider site leadership and continuous improvement initiatives

Systems & Controls

  • Overseeing transactional accuracy within ERP systems
  • Driving process improvements and identifying control gaps
  • Supporting group reporting, audits and finance projects

About You

You’ll be a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with the wider business.

Essential:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or actively studying
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role
  • Strong background in financial reporting and balance sheet control
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

  • Experience within manufacturing, logistics, waste or similar operational environments
  • Experience in a multi-site or group structure
  • Strong ERP and reporting system experience
