To manage the finance function, ensure the accurate and timely production of financial information, maintain effective financial controls, and provide commercial insight to support business performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the finance department.
- Produce monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
- Lead month-end and year-end processes.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial projections.
- Monitor cashflow, working capital and overall financial performance.
- Analyse financial results and provide recommendations to support business objectives.
- Oversee reconciliations, VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and financial governance.
- Support senior management with financial planning, reporting and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant.
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team desirable.
- Commercially aware with the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
