A professional services business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support the business through its next phase of growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role, offering responsibility for the day-to-day running of finance while partnering with senior leadership to deliver accurate reporting and meaningful financial insight. You will manage a small team and play a key role in strengthening processes, controls, and overall financial performance.

What will you do as a Finance Manager?

  • Oversee the day-to-day finance function
  • Manage and support a small finance team
  • Supervise purchase ledger and sales ledger activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow monitoring
  • Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and procedures
  • Oversee bank reconciliations and transactional accuracy
  • Support with audit processes and liaise with external accountants
  • Maintain financial data within Xero and drive system efficiencies
  • Provide financial insight and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Remain hands-on where needed across transactional finance

What do you need as a Finance Manager?

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified 
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior finance role
  • Strong management accounts and reporting experience
  • Comfortable overseeing transactional finance and supporting a team
  • Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting systems
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Able to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
