Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working on a retained basis with Rompa as they look to recruit a Finance Manager to be based out of their modern offices in Chesterfield, S41. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to work in an autonomous and varied number 1 role in finance, responsible for 3 direct reports and work closely with the Managing Director and Senior Management Team. The Finance Manager role will be hands on and operationally focused, making it an ideal role for someone looking to expand their impact beyond finance into general management and strategic decision-making. Duties & Responsibilities' will include: -

  • Managing the day-to-day finance function in its entirety 
  • Managing a team of 3 directly
  • Providing strong financial analysis of company results and trends and offering financial advice to the Directors
  • Overseeing any cost exercises in relevant to production and warehouse activities
  • Acting as the primary contact for external parties for finance activities, including liaising with banks, pension providers, insurance companies and auditors
  • Producing year end statutory accounts and working with our auditors to complete year end audit and tax pack
  • Preparing budgets, forecasting and management accounts
  • Managing and processing the monthly payroll and processing year-end tax submissions
  • Continually reviewing our pricing structure
  • Ensuring Trademark registrations are maintained and up to date
  • Acting as Company Secretary, including maintaining information on Companies House
  • Leading and supporting all matters relating to health and safety

 You will ideally have the following skills and experiences:-

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
  • Manufacturing sector experience would be ideal, but not essential 
  • Solid understanding of payroll processing
  • Experience of management accounts production
  • Strong leadership skills and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate financial data across the business
  • A high level of attention to detail with excellent organisation skills
  • A ‘can do’ positive and enthusiastic attitude

The role is based 5 days a week in the office and operates the following working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4.30pm with 30 mins for lunch.
