Cherry Professional is recruiting a Financial Controller for a manufacturing sector business with an established operational site in the Preston area. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen reporting, support decision-making, and drive site performance.
The role
- Lead month-end close and deliver accurate, timely management reporting
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear insight and recommendations
- Provide business partnering across the site, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Support capital spend tracking and investment-related reporting
- Improve process, controls and management information
What we’re looking for
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified, Part Qual or Qualified By Experience with strong, relevant experience
- Solid experience in a site-based / operational finance role
- Confident communicator with the credibility to influence stakeholders
- Strong Excel and a proactive, improvement-led mindse
