Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with an exciting business who are seeking to recruit a technical Financial Controller to report into the Finance Director.

This role has a strong focus on month-end close, statutory and group reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of intercompany accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, complete and timely financial information.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts in line with group reporting requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102/IFRS as applicable) and group accounting policies.
• Preparing and coordinating statutory accounts and management of the external audit process.
• Responsible for the balance sheet integrity, including monthly reconciliations and reviews.
• Supporting the Finance Director with budgeting and forecasting.
• Line management, development and performance of the finance team.
• Process and submit VAT returns.

You will be/have:

• ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven application of standards.
• Strong Excel and financial systems including PowerBI.
• Experience working with Macros/VBA/SQL 
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
