Fire Alarm Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a leading Building Services and Facilities Management provider supporting a prestigious portfolio of commercial properties across London and the M25.

Working across a varied client portfolio, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault finding, testing, and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring all systems remain fully compliant and operational.

This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple high-profile sites, providing both planned and reactive maintenance support while delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, test and repair fire alarm systems across multiple commercial sites.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on a wide range of fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Respond to reactive call-outs and emergency breakdowns.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with BS5839 regulations and industry standards.
  • Produce accurate service reports and certification.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site teams and contract managers.
  • Support small works, upgrades and system modifications where required.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
  • Experience working on commercial and corporate sites.
  • Familiarity with leading fire alarm manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Morley, C-Tec, Kentec or similar.
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • FIA Units
  • BS5839 knowledge and experience
  • ECS/CSCS Card
  • IPAF (desirable)
  • Manufacturer training certificates (Gent, Advanced, Notifier, etc.)
