We're looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a well-established and growing engineering team, supporting a long-term council contract across Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a stable, local role with no travel outside the county.

The Opportunity

As a mobile Fire & Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and fault-finding on a range of commercial sites throughout Cornwall. You'll become part of a large and supportive engineering division, helping to maintain approximately 400 sites across the region.

Key Details:

• Mobile role covering commercial properties across Cornwall

• Monday to Friday, 40-hour working week

• Supporting a portfolio of around 400 sites

• Working alongside an established team of over 30 engineers

• No overnight stays or travel outside Cornwall

Package & Benefits

• Salary up to £39,000

• Company van and fuel card provided

• Personal use of the company van included

• Structured call-out rota (1 week in every 6)

• £115 standby allowance

• Minimum 4 hours' pay for any call-out attendance

• Holiday entitlement and additional company benefits

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you'll need:

• FIA qualifications (Levels 1, 2 & 3) – essential

• Previous experience working on fire and security systems

• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and maintenance skills

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
