Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire & Security Engineer to join our client’s growing team. This role is predominantly focused on service, maintenance, and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems, with occasional involvement in installations. The position offers mostly local work across Hampshire and strong opportunities for training and progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and fault-find on fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems
  • Assist with installation works as required
  • Work across associated systems including AOVs, door control, and extinguishers
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of common fire alarm panels (user and engineer level)
  • Participate in on-call rota (approx. 1 in 6)
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service at all times

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in the fire and security industry (or related systems)
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems and associated equipment
  • Basic electrical knowledge, including safe isolation and testing
  • Ability to fault-find and problem-solve effectively
  • Strong communication skills and professional approach with clients
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence (reasonably clean)
  • Able to pass Enhanced DBS and BS7858 Security Screening
